There might be some sparkplug issues, too much fuel less burning. try replacing your sparkplugs. this may help

Fuel pump saturn

Nice story
Can't guess at your vehicles issues
Be at the shop & see first hand what testing
is done & how the result were obtained
Smelling gas has nothing to do with a fuel pump,
unless the tank gasket leaks
Ask what tests resulted in that conclusion.

Stuttering in idele and acceleration

Has the fuel tank been low lately? How cold where you are? Add 2 bottles of fuel "Heat" to the gas tank, and be sure to fill up...and keep fuel level above 1/4. Hope this helps.

My 4runner has a low idle, and sometimes dies while idling, but starts right back up with no problem. there also seems to be a miss when i accelerate, but i dont have any idea what could be causing it. but...

You need a tune up, if that doesn't fix it then have the injectors checked, and if thats not it, then have the fuel-pump checked. It has to be one of those.

STUTTERS DURING ACCELERATION

throttle position sensor .. this lets the computer know just where your foot is on the gas .. It gets worn out in that position because that is where it is used the most. I would check it first then go from there... they are priced reasonable .. always start with the least expensive first then go from there. thanks Jerry holler if you need more
