The lower spot morror has a one T-15 torx screw right in the center. if your mirror is only cracked you have to brake the center of the spot mirror out to get to the T-15 torx screw behind the mirror glass. then replace with the new black PVC mirror glass (backing-holder) from the kit BEFORE STICKING ON the new mirror.
Hope this helps, goor luck.

How loud do you play the radio? If you like pumpin' out the volume, you could be blowing up the speakers with too much power. New aftermarket speakers (not GM's replacements) may be the answer. Go to a place that does custom installations and ask for their advice on what to buy.

The only other possibility is that the speakers are not sealed properly and water is getting in and corroding them over time. But that's pretty unlikely.

Yukon xl 2009 passenger power fold mirror won't fold

the cable that controls the mirror is more than likely broken or if it's gear driven the gear is stripped or broke. I would first try to take the switch apart and clean it

Want to replace broken passenger side mirror. WHAT IS PROCEDURE??? Remove panel, HOW? ASFOXYTOO@COMCAST.NET

Go to ebay. You can buy GM's internal repair manual ( on a disk ) for like $14.99. This should be the best purchase of the year for you.

Intermittant dead battery problem since buying a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL in 2009 with 25,000 miles. I have replaced the battery twice and local GMC dealer replaced battery terminal once. I don't believe...

A technician will need to a parasitic drain test on the electrical system to determine where the battery drain is taking place. Sometimes the glovebox or vanity mirror lamps don't shut off and drain the battery.

Anyone know where to find replacement covers for a 2007 Tahoe LTZ? I can find the upper half but would like to avoid buying the ENTIRE mirror to get the lower half. Some ding dong stole the fronts of both...

You can try the Salvage Yard, Most of the time they are damaged. But if you just need the parts for the mirror, there is a good chance you'll find the covers your looking for around $5.00. If you can not find on, just ask the person to log you on the lookout for the part. When a truck like yours os another GM truck comes in with the same mirrors you have, they can inform you and you'll just have to go and pick it up or pull it off the truck in the yard. Good luck and hope this helps.

Mirror, outside drivers side vibrates, how to disassemble

At $400 it sounds like he is going to replace it, and not repair it.
Items like outside mirrors do not easily lend themself to repair.
They are pretty much go/no go items.

Taking the inside door panel off is easy.
Roll the window down.
Remove any screws holding the trim (should be by the door release lever, and possible 1 or 2 at the edge of the panel).
Also, some models have bigger screws/bolts just under the armrest, remove those also.
GM uses a plastic "christmas tree" fastner in the door panels. It is easiest if you purchase a door panel removal tool (Couple of $ at any auto parts store).
Start at the lower edge, slide the tool between the trim panel and the door, and pry up gently.
Work your way around the door (F&R edges, and the lower) until the panel is free,
Then slide the panel up (it is hooked into the window channel).

To remove the mirror, there are 3 nuts on the back side. Remove those, while someone is holding the mirror, and then pull the mirror out a little. Disconnect the wiring plug to the mirror.

This whole process shouldn't take you more then 10 to 15 minutes. People that do it all the time usually do it in 3 to 5 min. So it is a simple job.

Reinstalling it, is just the reverse of the removal.

You may want to look at aftermarket mirrors, or you may what to try a salvage yard for a replacement part if the factory replacements are too expensive.
As mentioned earlier, these are go/no go items, so there are no "instructions" on how to fix them.

How to replace side mirror on 1996 GMC Sierra?

See Figure 2
0900c1528008f812.jpgFig. 2: Outside mirror-below eyeline type
  1. Remove the mirror cover screw and lift the cover and pivot the mirror towards the window.
  2. Remove the mirror to door bolts and remove the mirror and seal from the door.
  3. To install, position the mirror and seal to the door and install the retaining bolts.
  4. Pivot the mirror away from the window, and lower the mirror cover.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Hope this helps .. if not feel free to contact me
