Question about 2005 Mini Cooper

2 Answers

I have a mini one convertible 2005, and when it rains if I open the door, water poors in like a tap and now I have water stains on my seat. The BMW/Mini dealer said that it is a Design Characteristic (not allowed to say fault!), and there is nothing we can do. The roof to the mini is narrow and the gutters are small, so this is a known problem. Does anyone have any solutions??

2005 v50 When it rains my car fills with water. It has happened on the driver and passenger side and under the seats. I saw water dripping from the glove box area.

Check all the seals around your windows and doors. Leaks could seep in through there drips at a time and fill the seats. also check the seals around your front windsheild.

I would say you have either a bad seal on the windshield or the seal on the passenger door opening.

Water in a toyota corolla

The most common place for it to come in when its raining is in from the Rear wheel (the welded seam is split) or around the top and running around inside under side of seat. Or if it comes in when stationary then it the door rubber is not tight enough.

Sounds to me like your issue is with condensation from your air conditioner. The condensation isn't properly draining, probably from a damaged or clogged drain hose.

Same problem with 99

Try running a hose on the driver's door window to see if the drain hoeles in the driver's door are plugged. Also check the drain holes in the rear window and trunk lid drains. If one of the drain holes is plugged the water will seek the next easiest way to drain (which might be to the iside of your VW Beetle.
