Probably not the fuel pump itself....you may have a sticking fuel pump relay.

Remove the gas cap, to let some air into the gas tank.
As the gasoline has been consumed, what's left behind
is a partial vacuum, making it difficult for the fuel-injection pump
to pull gasoline from the tank. Remove the gas cap,
to equalize the air pressure. Works for me (and my 2002 Taurus).

Remove the gas cap, to equalize the air-pressure.
The partial vacuum (no air got in to replace the gasoline that has been pumped out) leads to the lack of gas reaching the engine.
Works for my 2002 Taurus.

Engine shuts down

The only way to know for sure is to hook a gauge to the rail and check the fuel pressure when it won't start.
Sitting for a few minutes and restarting is normally a sign of a relay or coil cooling off.
There should be a EEC relay that powers the dist module and ECM.
I know you said you have spark, but it could be something else
related.
Also, if you have spark at the right time and no fuel pressure, you should be able to use starting fluid to substitute.
I don't suppose you have dual tanks and the switching valve is the problem ?

Chevrolet silverado stalling at times

Possible that the fault is related to the ignition unit. it will be good to take a code check. Possible that the fuel pump pressure is also checked.
This must be done only when the fault occurs, it will be best to check the electrical connections of the ignition unit.

My 2002 LS is hard to start after it sit awhile I change the fuel filter and the spark plugs and the coils on each plug but it still hard to start could it be my fuel pump is losing pressure when it sit...

it is very possible and i can tell you a way to help you see if that is the issue. after your car has sit a while (as long as it usually takes before it acts up) jump in the vehicle and turn the key to the postion just before the vehicle begins to turn over when all the dash lights come on. when the key is put in this position the fuel pump runs for a few seconds and then stops until vehicle is cranked, allow the pump to run for 5 seconds then turn the key back off. then return the key to the "run" postion i mentioned before and wait a few seconds then try to start it. if it fires right up you have allowed the vehicle to build fuel pressure before you started it, indicating you have a fuel pressure issue and you are most likely looking at a weak fuel pump.

Doesn't always start , has problems in the morning, after it sits for awhile. somestimes it starts alright sometimes it doesn't,acts like it may be out of gas, cranks over and acts like it wants to start,...

May have a fuel pump going bad or a fuel filter clogged. When the fuel pumps go bad they tend to not hold fuel in the line and it leaks back to the tank. That could be causing your hard start sometimes and not others.

Engine not starting

Try some dry gas in the fuel tank,it absorbs any moisture that might have accumulated. After that, check and see if you have spark at the plugs, and fuel at the engine.Sometimes components that are marginal will work great as long as they're being used everyday, then they sit for awhile, and start to malfunction, could be fuel pump,an ignition component, that's why im saying to check for spark, and check for fuel supply.Good luck.

Verify fuse is correct size, then see what you are turning on else when it blows. Fuel pumps are designed to pump up then shut off, until needed when starting and running. It might not be shutting off and staying running when vehicle is not running. Make sure ground circuit is in good shape and positive side as well. Does this blow fuses when you go to start, or does it start and run for awhile then blow?
