Check the voltage to the alternator it could be low therefore draining your battery. You can do a voltage test at your nearby parts store free of charge.

My 1991 aerostar van died while i was driving it and now it will not start

My 89 all wheel drive Aerostar will do that too if I forget to put that liquid stuff in that round thingy.

But seriously how was it acting before it stopped running ? Was it sputtering and hesitating ? Had you driven thru any deep water puddles that could have splashed water onto the engine ? You did not mention if the motor turns over when you try to start it , in other words is the battery charged? So if you are sure you have plenty of gas and the engine is nice and dry, the engine turns over when you turn the key - but doesn't start - I would check to see what could have come loose in the engine compartment such as a wire or an obstruction like a plastic bag over the air intake.

Good luck !

88 Ford Aerostar clicks and wont start

Check the starter solenoid next to the battery. Sometimes it will not energize and just click.

Ford aerostar clicks but will not start

Could be two things. Older cars have problems with a build up of resistance in the ignition circuit this can cause the car not to start. The fix for this is a new ignition switch (the electrical part not the key part) or your battery is either going dead or is very weak. Charge the battery and see if that helps. Be aware, if your maintenance free battery is more than 5 to 7 years old, it should be replaced.

Good luck!
