Question about 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
"In the last few weeks, heat in the front of the car would work at full power, then dip to nothing, then back to full power."
do you mean that it is warm then is not warm or do you mean that the blower works then does not?
I would consider replacing the blower motor, not sure about how much you'll spend on one in Alaska. should be fairly accessible from either the passenger side dash from the bottom or from under the hood on passenger side (well on all the vehicles I have replaced one on.) sounds like it's either that or the switch.
