Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
If the car is not actually hot, Check the wiring to the sending unit.
Sending unit is in the water Jacket at the Goose neck, behind the radiator and on the block.
If the wire is on and making good contact and the problem still exsists,
take the wire off and ground it to the block. Look at the guage with the switch on, while grounding the wire to the block. The guage should fall to cold.
If it does replace the sending unit with a new one.
If not, check the instrument fuse and the wiring to the guage.
It should be one or the other!
