Look for the IAT sensor at the radiator and trace the wiring back to the plug. (lower left side of radiator.)

SHOULD be red with blue stripe and black - but trace to double check.
this is for the 4cyl.

Thanks!!

P.S. - if this is a "chip" that tricks the computer into thinking the engine is warmer than it really is to give a run rich condition - you are asking for trouble. Eventually the computer compensates and re-callibrates itself. (usually after 5 warm/cold runs)
do you know what that will do for performance? nothing. why? its called physics. cool air can be compressed more than warm air. compressing the air can allow you to add more air, therefore giving you more HP(remember oxygen = power?). This is what these manufacturers want you to think about. however, telling the engine that the air is cooler does nothing BECAUSE THE AIR ISN'T COOLER. you can't just say the air is cooler and have it compressed like cool air. it has to ACTUALLY BE COOLER. taking warm air and saying its cooler doesn't mean that is it going to be able to be compressed more.

The solution is, instead of the chip, run a higher octane gas when you
want to race. you car will actually know the temp of the incoming air,
and thus be able to adjust acordingly.

    If you seriously want to
play with this stuff you need to get a fuel controller. like an apexi
AFC or a GReddy Emanage. this will alow you to add or subtract fuel
based on Airflow and RPM. you will be able to get rid of the richness
that is built into the factory ECU, and be able to adjust for different
octanes of gas. With the Emanage, and optional harness you can even add
timing with octane. and that is where the real power gains will come
    from.

    Cliff notes:
    Lean is fast, but dangerous.
    Ebay resistors don't work. really.
    you
need to know what your doing to your engine before you play with your
Air/Fuel ratio. talk to people that are tuning there own cars, and
    learn from them.

2007 BMW 328i IAT Wire Colors in MAF Sensor

If you are installing a so called "chip" don't do it, it can harm the engine due the changes it causes in fuel control as related to Intake Air Temperature and burn holes in the pistons. All that little part really is, is a $.50 (50 cent) resistor that you can buy from Radio Shack, it is smoke and mirrors and it also will void any warranty you may have. I for one strongly advise against installing it, it will make not difference in power and all there claims are just lies and falsehoods..
