Torque specifications for rocker arms and head

I need the torque specifications for rocker arms and head bolts for a 89 chevy celebrity 2.5 engine. I am having the head reworked and replacing it myself. need to make sure I have the right specs for both.

Head Bolts
Step one 37 ft lbs then tignten 120 degrees more

Rocker arms
Step one 11 ft lbs then tighten 90 degresss more

Upper intake
89 inch lbs
Lower intake
132 inch lbs

Valve Rocker Arm Bolt 19 N·m + 30° (14 lb ft+ 30°)
A GM dealer shows me another source, which says 32 Nm (24 lb-ft). Not sure which one is right but they screwed up my car.

SOURCE: oil and transmission pan bolt torque specs

124 inch lbs on oil pan...Transmission pan 13 ft lbs.

SOURCE: I have 4.9L6 need torque specs for cylinder head

for cylinder head the torque is : step 1 55 ft-lb, step 2 65 ft-lb, step 3 85 ft-lb. Rocker arm stud nut or bolt is 17 to 23 ft-lb. and valve cover bolt 72 to 108 in-lb.

I need the torque for the rocker arms on a 93 chevy corsica 3.1

it's a two step operation. First step is tighten the bolts to 89 in-lbs Second step is rotate the bolts an additional 30-degrees. Make sure that as you're tightening the bolts that the pushrods are sitting properly in the rocker arms and that the tabs on the bottom of the rocker arm pedestals are seating properly in the grooves milled in the head.

What are the torque measurements for the rocker arms and intake manafold?

2.2L Engine & 2.4L Engines
These engines are not equipped with rocker arms. The camshafts directly actuate the valves.

3.1L Engine & 3.4L Engines
When install or connect the check the following:
- Pushrods and the rocker arms. Torque the bolts to 24 ft. lbs. (32 Nm). - Rocker arm cover using a new gasket. Torque the rocker cover bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
- Heater bypass pipe. Torque the screw at the water pump to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm), the bolt at the cylinder head corner to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm) and the nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).


About the INTAKE MANIFOLD...
-
Intake manifold nuts and bolts and tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
- Pushrods and rocker arms. Torque the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) plus an additional 30 degree turn. - Lower intake manifold. Apply sealant to the threads of the bolts and torque the bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm).

I need the engine torque specs for 99 chevy malibu. like the head bolt torque sequence and rocker bolt torque sequence

99 chevy malibu v6 3.1 engine, head bolt torque is-- 98 through 2001 is step1- 37 foot lbs, step 2- rotate an additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn). the rocker arm bolts are 168-in. lbs.

I need rocker torque for 2003 pontiac with 3.1liter

Left side:

To install:
  1. Lubricate all the valvetrain components with engine oil.
  2. Install or connect the following:
    • Pushrods and the rocker arms and tighten the bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm) plus 30 degrees
    • Rocker arm cover using a new gasket and tighten the rocker cover bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
    • PCV valve to the rocker arm cover
    • Coolant tube with the thermostat bypass hose and tighten the bolt to 98 inch lbs. (11 Nm) and the nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
    • AIR check valve pipe and torque the adapters to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm)
    • Engine mount strut and torque the bolt to 35 ft. lbs. (48 Nm)
    • Spark plug wires
    • Negative battery cable
Right side:

To install:
  1. Lubricate all the valve train components with engine oil.
  2. Install or connect the following:
    • Pushrods and the rocker arms and tighten the bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm) plus 30 degrees
    • Rocker arm cover using a new gasket and tighten the rocker cover bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
    • Power brake booster vacuum pipe to the plenum
    • EVAP solenoid and ignition coil assembly
    • Spark plug wires
    • Alternator bracket and torque the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)
    • Alternator and torque the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)
    • Accessory drive belt
    • Negative battery cable
  3. Start the vehicle and verify no leaks.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Drain the cooling system.
  4. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Accessory drive belt
    • Air cleaner outlet duct
    • Engine mount
    • Intake manifold
    • Exhaust manifold
    • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector
    • Power steering pump
    • Radiator inlet pipe
    • Spark plug wires
    • Rocker arm cover

    NOTE Whenever valve train components are removed, keep them in order for installation purposes.

    • Rocker arms and pushrods
    • Lifters
    • Alternator rear brace and the alternator
    • Power steering pump
    • Radiator inlet pipe
    • Ignition coil assembly
    • Accessory bracket
    • Spark plug wires
    • Cylinder head bolts

    WARNING Two sizes of bolts are used; note the location of each.

    • Cylinder head
  5. Inspect the cylinder head and block surface for cracks, nicks, heavy scratches and flatness.

Cylinder head torquing sequence—2.2L (VIN 4) engine

  1. Install or connect the following:
    • Cylinder head with a new gasket and new cylinder head bolts. Torque the long bolts, in sequence to 46 ft. lbs. (63 Nm) and the short bolts to 43 ft. lbs. (58 Nm) plus an additional 90 degree turn on all the bolts.
    • Lifters
    • Pushrods and rocker arms. Torque nuts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
    • Rocker arm cover. Torque the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Spark plug wires
    • Accessory bracket
    • Ignition coil assembly
    • Radiator inlet pipe
    • Power steering pump. Torque the bolts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
    • ECT sensor electrical connector
    • Exhaust manifold. Torque the nuts to 118 inch lbs. (13 Nm).
    • Alternator. Torque the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
    • Intake manifold. Torque the bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (24 Nm).
    • Engine mount. Torque the bolts to 55 ft. lbs. (75 Nm).
    • Air cleaner outlet duct
    • Accessory drive belt
    • Negative battery cable
  2. Refill and bleed the cooling system.
  3. Start the vehicle and inspect for leaks.
