Question about 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

1 Answer

Hi, I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rocky mountain edition and just recently the ''step'' button on my ''information center'' went out. It's the 3rd button out of 4 on the same row. I can't imagine that it's a fuse since the others are lite. Can this button have an individual light bulb behind it that may have gone out? How would I replace it? It drives me nuts to look and see One little button not lite.. a huge pet peeve.. Thanks so much.

This video link is amazing show you how to actually replace the bulbs on the boards.

I have removed and repaired the radio but have not done the bulbs. The bulbs appear easier than the radio.

Hope this helps? Grand Cherokee Control Unit Light Bulb Replacement WK

SOURCE: brake lights dont work

Check the brake light switch, it is down on the brake pedal lever, you can dis-connect the wire connector at the brake light switch and check for broken wires at the connector, and then jumper the connector with a paper clip, if the brake lights come on then replace your brake light switch.

There might be more than one switch attached to the brake light pedal lever, the brake light switch usually only has two wires going to it when there are two switches.

If there is no problem with the brake light switch then you can suspect the turn-signal switch to be at fault, as all of the running lights, turn-signals, brake lights, and hazard lights are all ran through the turn-signal switch. You can also try stepping on the brake pedal and wiggle around the turn-signal switch and see if the brake lights flicker or come on.

Control switches on steering wheel do not light up at night

I don't believe they are lighted. I am 95% confident the criuse buttons don't light up. Did you just get this Jeep or am I wrong and they worked before? I really don't think there is anything wrong with your Jeep.

2005 jeep garnd cherokee rocky mountain edition is just blowing cold air.I will not heat up untill you drive the vehicle. Any suggestions?

If the temeperature gauge says the engine is warm but the air is not warm until you drive it would most likely it would be the heater core partially clogged. Have it flushed.

My Jeep 2007 won't start but the battery is good. How to troubleshoot. Where to start?

I had same prob with Grand Cherokee - no rhyme nor reason as to when, where or why it wouldn't start. After two new starters the shop finally found a starter wire/cable that was corroded on the inside. Mech' could move it back and forth and it would / would not start. Changed cable six months ago - no problems since. Hope it helps.

Help, No Power to power seats

Latest Jeep models have had major problems, the power seats I have heard there has been a few problems with the motor under the seat working not properly due to the cheap material stored in creating the motor and all the other parts. I have recently drove several jeeps the liberty and grand cherokee and it seems like either the motor or one of the wires needs to be replaced which could have been teared or weared out or was simply not placed when manufactured. there has been a lot of recalls on most the jeep cars.
