1998 Mercury Grand Marquis GS runs Rough when cold

When I start my 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis from a cold start (it has a 4.6L V8 in it) it runs really rough and spits and studders until it warmes up and gets really bad mileage (8-10 MPG), Ive ran injector cleaner through it, replaced the spark plugs, swapped out coil packs in it,Cleaned the EGR Valve and replaced the fuel filter with no luck, Any ideas?

Thanks
Ron

Do you have the defrost on when it is doing this? Turn it off and see if it goes away. I'm still thinking A/C compressor.

Good engine swap for a 94 grand grand marquis

Another 4.6 out of a '94 Grand Marquis. If you can. That way all the sensors will be correct and the wiring harness will plug-and-play. You can install almost any 4.6 but, depending on the year, there's going to be a lot of issues making them work with the electronics in your '94 Marquis.
