Question about 1996 Dodge Caravan
Could be valve cover gaskets, and /or rear main seal, or oil oan gasket. Take it to a do it yourself car wash close to home, and clean the engine top AND bottom. Take it home, let it sit overnight. Put it on jackstands, Wipe whats dripping,, off. Get a bright light. Start engine. And watch for leaks. Do NOT put on gear, nor race the engine.Once you see somthing backtrack it. . After you think you have located it, Shut off engine and check bolts for looseness. Don't overtighten any as you could create a problem.

There is an adapter for the oil filter with 2 lines coming out of it above the drive shaft from the transfer case to the front differential. The O ring on these will go sometimes causing loss of oil. Also check the 2 lines for leaks and cracks.
