Where is fuel pump located on a 1985 chevy cavalier?

The pump is electric, and it is inside the gas tank. You have to drop and remove the tank to change the pump.
The filter is a small metal cylinder, about fist size, and will be in the fuel line under one side or another of the car, unless it is in the engine bay, just before the fuel line reaches the engine. I expect it would however be underneath, along a frame rail. Just follow the fuel line from the tank. Both ends of the filter are threaded. Use 2 wrenches, one as a back-up while you loosen the fuel line fitting. Be careful of damaging the end of the fuel line-that is why you want 2 wrenches.

Fuel tank leaks when filling at the pump

I'd check the clamps on the filler tube hoses. Also check to see if they are kinked, especially the small hose.

Gas leaken new tank 94 4 runner think its fuel pump seal but dont wanna drop tank if dont have to found axcess pannel under rear passenger seat but dont see fuel pump to see if thats where its leaking from...

If the smell is coming from the back of the vehicle then it could be leaking from the return line or the filler hose. I would check the fuel filler hose first since you can probably get at it wihtout dropping the tank. You might be able to get to the return line as well which is a small hose that goes to the tank from the fuel pressure regulator to return unused fuel. If the smell is coming from the front of the vehicle I would inspect all of the fuel lines and the inline fuel filter if you have one installed and verify that none of the hose is damaged and all clamps are tight. Check your injector rail and make sure it is not leaking where it provided fuel to the injectos and check your injectors seat to see if there is any evidence of fuel leakage.

If you can't find any leaks in those locations then you are gonna have to drop the tank and check the pump.

Where is the fuel filter on a 1990 plym. voyager. is it on the fire wall somewhere ?

your fuel filter will be in line between the gas tank and the engine. It is usually under the drivers side door. Follow the fuel line from the gas tank to the engine and somewhere along the way you will see a barrel shaped metal object that is about as big around as a golf ball. That is your fuel filter. Be sure to pinch off your lines so you dont leak gas everywhere.

Park up a hill if you can, that usually helps to minimize fuel loss.

Got a fuel leak on my pajero from the braided fuel hoses that come out the top of fuel tank. What size hose do i need to replace them both because they both look a different size?

I would recommend using factory (or similar) parts on these. These hoses have a flared typed fitting for proper seal.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

Fuel leaking from flexi pipe beside passenger rear

The only thing i can think of is, its a vent tube of some sort, but i can't understand why it comes out from under fuel tank, unless it runs from top of tank around under tank and back up and it looks like its commimg from bottom of tank.
