We will believe this is a 4.3 V6 ? I would get valve cover gaskets, and some JB weld, follow instructions.

Have you replaced the pcv line correctly. Is the oil filler cap tight and sealing correctly. Check for broken cracked vacuum lines that you may have moved in removing the rocker cover.

Pressure is building up under valve cover. its pushing oil out. when opening oil cap lots of air comes out

either oil ports are clogged not allowing drainage? or compression is bypassing the rings placing it in the crankcase assy area, Meaning worn cylender or cracked ring most likely

Engine oil been coming out of the filler cap

i would go and check the seal around the cap if its intact then i would look into a valve cover instead it could be the gasket or just cracked hope this helps :)

If you have any other fittings on the valve cover (pcv valve, breather tube etc) you can put a hose into the valve cover through that hole and fill it. (slowly...most have baffles inside). I have seen engines filled through the dipstick tube also (takes forever though).
Once you get oil in there, bring it to a shop and have someone show you how to get the fill cap off so it is easier next time.

Where do i put oil in my 1978 Chevy C10 pickup

If there's no oil cap directly on one of the valve covers (it may have a breather hose attached which connects to the breather element in the breather pan), then some models require adding oil through the dipstick. If this is the case, there should be a cap type dipstick instead of the standard "hook". There are 6 different motors (8 including variations) for your truck so no manual has the exact location of the oil cap. Best of luck and hope I answered your question.

Have you looked on the valve covers? There might not be an actual OIL CAP but just a cap & tube that goes directly into the valve covers.
