I have a 2003 nissan maxima. About a month ago the heat\ac began to make a humming sound which ended up turning into a roaring sound. My wife ignored it and it eventually quit alltogether....quit blowing at all. I replaced th blower motor yesterday and when i tried it again I still got nothing.....any ideas on what else i might do?

I have had 3 maxima's and found maxima.org the best website.

I had a blower problems on the 94 maxima, but it was the relay (did you connect your old blower directly to a battery?

How many wires are there? Can you check them with a voltmeter.

Ford Focus 2000. Blower not working at all. Switch burnt out and removed. Tested connections showing 12.5 volts on both terminals at blower motor. Should one be an earth?

The green with orange trace comes from fuse F64 30amp. battery junction box. The black with red trace goes to a splice , S24 . from there it changes color to black with blue trace which goes to the blower motor resistor and it also has from the splice a black with orange trace that goes to the blower switch . The switch provides the earth . On high speed the switch directs the current path to ground from the black with orange trace . All the other speeds come through the resistor to ground through the switch . At the connector for the blower switch the black wire is the ground or earth ,how ever you look at it. The switch being burnt indicates high resistance (loose connection ) maybe. Voltage drop test the electrical circuit .

A/C not working in my 2003 Nissan maxima GLE-- the gauges light up appropriately, but the fan doesn't blow. It does get cold, I can feel the refrigerated air gently blow though the vents if i'm driving...

The most likely cause of your concern would be the fan control amp. It is located behind the glove box. It controls the ground side of the blower motor. But before replacing it, check to see if you have power and ground at the blower motor.

How do I replace a Heater Blower motor in a 2003 Pontiac Vibe?

Remove the Glove box. You will then have access to the Blower unit. There are 3 screws that are holding the blow unit in place. You will need a Phillips screw driver and a 1/4 socket. Once you have located the unit remove the 3 screws and the unit will fall straight down. Unplug the wire harness and then reinsert the new Blower Motor. If you purchase an original GM part this makes life much easier, you just screw the 3 screws back into the holes and then plug the wire harness back in and reinstall the glove box. If you use an aftermaket part you will need to do some wire splicing to make it work but it is a 10 to 20 minute job depending on which part you decide to replace the Blower with.

THe blower motor is under the dash. You will have to take out the glovebox and half of the dash to get up in there, but if you have the time and the energy you can fix yourself. Will have to disconnect heater core hoses under the hood
