Hello! The flasher is located on the driver's side under the dash, and at the top of the brake pedal. It will have the number printed on the side of it - it's important to match that up at the auto parts store and replace it with the correct one.

Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa!

What is causing a buzzing noise when using the left turn signal on a 1999 Pontiac sunfire

Two possible causes
If it is only the left turn signal then the switch has worn switch contacts and you need to replace it with a new indicator stalk switch.
If both left and right the flasher unit could be faulty.

Cant get right and left signals to work, tried every thing I can think of.

if all the bulbs are working and the fuse is good then turn on the hazard flashers and check to see if it was this flasher you changed or not.if it was then you need to find the signal flasher as this is a different unit and looks like the hazard may have replaced the wrong flasher unit.
