Question about 2005 Peugeot 405
My 206 seems to be loosing power and dies when i change to lower gears why does this happen? and what is a calinoid???
Hi celinoid is part of the starter motor and would not cause this issue! most likely 1 of 3 things
The coil pack on these cars are really poor and dont like getting wet, you can normally tell if the car is chuggy and misfires.
the EGR valve " Exhaust gas recycler" valve this pushes unburnt fumes back through the engine to save fuel and emmissions, whe these go you normally get a warning light on the dash while the light is on the power is poor.
And finally the air flow meter or air mass sensor this regulates the air to fuel mixture if this is not working then the car either gets to much air or not enough. you can sometimes clean this part and it will work again.
Also check all the air pipes from the engine, if an air pipe is split or is taking in to much air then it will struggle to run correctly. be sure to check the undersides of the pipes.
Hope this helps
