Question about 1997 Chevrolet Blazer
Hi was the amp an after market one you have added?
Most likely cause is 2 speaker wires are contacting each other cancelling the sound out.
If the car had the amp as factory standard then it may need the amp to power the speakers, if they are quite powerful.
also look and ensure no wires are touching the car body/metal work.
