    Hi dan,
Thank you for your help. My zip code is 60164. I dont know of any code on the engine, sorry. All I know is that it is a 3.6L/255-hp V-6 engine. They dont rebuild these and to buy one brand new is too expensive.

When i push the gas pedal on mhy 2004 cadillac cts it feels spongy and wont go

Your dts uses drive by wire. The gas pedal is actually an electrical switch connected to the engine computer which then actuate a throttle body motor which causes the car to speed up or slow down. If you mean the car won't acceleration then the throttle actuator is probably going out, this is common and you replace the throttle body assembly as the actuator is sealed onto it. Had the same problem with my 04 srx (which is mechanically the same as a cts). If you have a check engine light on (and you should) get the codes read first as there are a few other problems that can cause throttle problems, however they are less likely the cause.

ill pick one at radom to show that anyone can do this.
online, at alldata dot com.
i pick 03 CTS
on line now... 2 engines used 1 car CTS ,usa.
i see page with 10 engine views.
ok the engine matrix of the CAD
shows 7 engines of which only 3 have EGR.
the 2.4L shows none. L4,L5, and L6
the V6/and V8s section show EGR.

You will need a professional grade scan tool to reset the light. You will need to repair the cause of the light , the failure that set the code.

WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON REPAIR FOR 2004 CAD. CTS DUAL HEATER ONLY BLOWS HEAT ON PASS SIDE -- NO HEAT FROM DRS SIDE ?? THANKS,

I would guess that the control that changes the flow of air from one duct to the next is broken and likely have that one side in the closed position. Old systems used the slide lever to open and closed ducts, but newer stuff, especially cadillacs, use a lot of electronics so it is probably controlled by a motor. I would have some diagnostics done to see if the motor controlling your duct work has fried.

Need repair manuel for 2004 Cadillac CTS

Similar to obtaining an owner's manual, you can obtain a repair manual from the same sources identified in this handy, diagnostic article:

This should defintely help

I have a Cadillac CTS 2004.. 3.6L V6 engine. I need to know if my car has a dipstick? And is it to check the level or just a hole to fill.

I too have the 2004 CTS.
Just today, my dealership checked my transmission fluid level because I have gear noise.

There is NO dipstick!

The car is put up on the hoist with motor running and transmission in neutral.
There is a fill / level check plug located on drivers side of transmission through which the level is checked.
