1998 crv radiator needs to be flushed, how do i do this?

Pull the lower hose off from the water pump, pull the upper hose off the goose neck at top, stick a garden hose in the bottom radiator hose end and seal it best you can with your hand or rags stuffed around it, turn the water on and leave water running for a while. Be sure to aim the upper radiator hose out from under the hood to keep water off the engine. After about 15 minutes or so, turn the water hose off and re-connect radiator hoses, refill the radiator and put the cap on. You've just backflushed your radiator.

Where is the thermostat for the 2006 Chevrolet Impala

It might be on the upper radiator hose from the Engine!

Drain the radiator before removing radiator hose. Then remove housing and you can find thermostat there!

In case of 3.5L,it is present at the end of lower radiator hose!

Where is the thermostat located on a 2006 impala? Is there a diagram which shows its placement?

On your car I'm quite sure you open the hood and follow the upper radiator hose to a metal housing with 2 bolts on each side of the housing. Remove the upper radiator hose and anything else connected to the housing, remove the 2 bolts. The thermostat is located inside the housing.

Where is the thermostat located

thermostat is located at the end of the lower radiator hose, not the upper like most vehicles. Remove the two bolts (most likely 10mm, you'll need a deep socket 10mm) then the housing. The thermostat is in the housing. remove and replace with a new one.

should be on the upper radiator hose where it mounts onto the motor, if you remove the hose from the engine side you may be able to see the thermostat inside the housing, should be 2 bolts that hold housing in place
