If you have replaced the resistor and it doesnt blow on all speeds...check the connector at the resistor....usually when the resistor burns out it will also burn the connector and it wont make contact without repairing or replacing the connector as well

SOURCE: Blower motor on 96 Isuzu Rodeo does not blow on

if fuses are good, check for power at blower motor, when truck is running and a/c on. the resistor and the switch provide ground, so the blue/white wire should have power, and the blue/black wire should have NO power, if it does have power, then most likely the resistor is bad. if it has no power and the motor doesnt run, the motor is bad.

2000 Chevrolet Impala blower motor work from 1-4 but not on 5th speed why?

The blower motor relay is energized when the Blower Motor Control is set to the High position. This removes the blower motor resistors from the circuit and battery voltage is then applied directly from the HVAC BLO fuse (RH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) to the blower motor though the relay switch contacts. The blower motor then runs at high speed.

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description
The blower motor is a variable speed motor. The motor operates at a higher rate when voltage is increased to the maximum level.
The blower motor resistors reduce the voltage supplied from the A/C FAN fuse (LH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) when the blower control is set at low and medium speeds (speeds 1-4).

01 grand.prix ac fan switch only works on high. has a duel temp controller when you turn fan off the only way fan comes back on is to move the temp controller levers

Hi!!
When the Blower Motor Resistor (controls blower speeds) goes bad, the blower motor works only on HIGH SPEED. REPLACE IT.
BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR Removal & Installation
  • Disconnect negative battery cable.
  • Remove right lower instrument panel insulator panel.
  • Disconnect blower resistor connector located behind right side of dash.
  • Remove blower resistor screws and blower resistor.
To install, reverse removal procedure
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa!!

Heater is not working, all fuses good

I assume, since you mention fuses, you are talking about the blower motor not running. Check to see if it runs on HIGH. A common problem is the motor resistors that control the speed of the blower. Other possibilities are the motor itself or the control module. I would start with the resistors first. Most common failure, least expense.

My heater fan quit working. I don't know if the problem is with the fan or the electrical system (fuse?).

First place to check is fuse box. Look at F-20. It is under the dash, left of the steering wheel.

Here's a link to the fuse box legend...
