1987 CAMRY. back brake lines were replaced 9

1987 CAMRY. back brake lines were replaced 9 months ago, noticed yesterday there is brake fluid leaking from the inside of the left rear wheel. has been leaking for quite some time, just been replacing fluid, until yesterday didn't realize it was a leak, thought it might be worn brake drums. what would cause that? 20 -30 below temps? strictly in town and highway driving, no gravel.

Hi I have a 1987 toyota camry and I can't find where I supposed to put the brake fluid in can you tell me where?

The master cylinder should be on the firewall under the windshield - it is connected to the brake pedal. It has a plastic tank with a cap.

Hi, two months ago low brake fluid indicator came on, brake fluid was added. This morning low brake fluid warning came on. I must have a leak. Front brake pads & rotors replaced 10 months ago.

Take it to a shop which has a lift, like an oil change or muffler shop, have them put on the lift. The leak will be apparent as it will be a wet recent stain. Then you will know if you are looking at a brake line fix, a leaking master or slave cylinder.

Do not blame the guy who did the pads 10 months ago, anything he did wrong would be immediately apparent and would not take 8 months to show.

I have a 94 Camry V6. Brake light went on about a

Hi:
All modern cars have a dual brake system, this way if you would happen to spring a leak in your rear brakes, your front brakes still work. When one system fails, you get a brake light. In your case, the first place to start your troubleshooting is to check the fluid level in the brake reservoir. If either the front or back of the reservoir is empty, you have a leak. If both are still full, the most likely problem is your master cylinder failing. If you think you have a leak, look at the inside edges of all 4 wheels, and look for signs of brake fluid .

Hi my grandpa had a 2000 lesabre he passed away last june and my dad still has the car at my grandpas house because the house is 500 miles from us and empty so he leaves it there to make people think...

it could be brake fluid because after driving since he got it the brake fluid will turn dark brown to black and make you think its engine oil.but if it smells like oil there may be engine oil mixed in or used as brake fluid if thats the case then the whole brake system will have to be replaced because all of the rubber parts will swell up.it could also be a leaking fuel line and oil somehow got put into the gas tank. these are the only two fluids that run from the back of the car

You have a caliper sticking, the hose that the fluid was or is laeking from may be kinked up or damaged. Check with your dealer to see if it is under warranty.

99 GMC Sierra Fluid Leak Immediately after Getting Oil Change

as an owner of three gmc sierras, i can attest that the brake lines that run along the frame rail under the master cylinder inherently rust away and break. I wouldnt neccesarily think it was tampered with. but do check the condition of all of the lines including the fuel lines for excessive rust.
