some of these have had problems with the dash assembly causing alot of problems with gauges and lights and speedometers.if there are no codes in the computer and weren`t any before you replaced the vss sensors then you spent money you didn`t need to.
jack it up, use jack stands. take off the front wheels, and go in through the wheel well to get to the spark plugs. Gas gauges on every blazer is freaking crazy. mine acts up when it`s at a 1/4 tank. Park up hill it shows more, park down hill, it shows empty.
To much trouble to replace, unless you have the time and money to replce the sending unit.
I think that the fuel sending unit in the tank is broken or the wire from the unit is unhooked.to keep from running out of fuel. fill up the car and use the trip oddometer to calculate how many miles you can travel. that car has 12 to 15 gallon tank and should get 20 to 25 miles per galloni would think that start putting gas in about 250 to 300 miles. then reset trip odometer
Wont take gas and the gas gauge stays full? This question really doesn't make sense. But if you cant put anymore gas in the car and the gauge says full then you have a full tank of gas. If the gauge always says full even when the gas tank is not full then the sender unit is failing or the gauge itself.
And you haven't ran out of gas yet,,,,,, just kidding. Disconnect the speed sensor pug at the transmission. And start the car. If the speedo is still showing 60, you may have a bad gauge, as you are no longer sending a message from the transmission.
No, but if you put fuel and the gauge shows empty, then you have a loose connector near the gas tank. If car doesnt start, then it is for sure that the connector of the fuel pump is loose. Reconnect the fuel pump and you are gonna be fine.
Could be your Speed sensor that would make the abs light come on because its not sensing the speed you are traveling. I have no Idea why when your gas gauge is on empty it won't shift. May be its the speed sensor and it was just happened to do it right when you where on empty. Does the speedometer work right or is it erratic? Let me Know this sound like and interesting problem I would like to work on and trouble shoot. Your ECM may be going too. There is so much going on Its hard to tell. But I would make sure the speed sensor is working properly first, Ok Talk at you soon. Thanks Bear001... Oh Yeah make sure all fluids are up and in good condition
