There are 2 tabs that stick out just behind the headlamp assembly.Pull up on both of them and then just pull the headlamp assembly out.Now you can replace the bulb.Check to see if it works before reinstalling the assembly.Hope this helps.Good luck.

How do change a low beam headlight on a 2005 trailblazer?

Drivers side....stick your hand down by the alternator and over behind the back of the headlight assembly. You'll feel a 3" round rubber boot, just pull this off. Twist out the bulb and replace.

Passenger side...remove the air cleaner box, when this is done, you can remove the rubber boot and replace the bulb with plenty of room.

The other method involves removing the grill, but pulling this out can break the grill, it's brittle. So I choose not to do this method.

How do you replace a low beam headlight bulb in a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer?

Drivers side- reach hand behind headlight and remove the rubber cover, then turn and remove bulb.

Passenger side- remove air cleaner top and move the air cleaner out of the way. Now you have access to the rubber cover to replace the bulb

I have no low beam headlights. The high beams work and I have changed the switch and bulbs and checked the fuses. what next

Check the connectors that go to the headlight bulbs to see if they are burned or melted. Low beam lights are on longer than high beams. The heat buildup around the connectors normally melts them.

How do I repalce the light on a 2005 trailbalazer

Take the grill out and take the headlight capsule out from the outside. I believe there are only a couple screws for the grill (along with snap-together retainers) and slide retainers for the headlight capsule. You might have to pull a panel off the back of the headlight capsule once you have it removed.

It's not a two minute job. IIRC, the last one i did took me 20 minutes or so. Might want to change both low beams while you're digging in. Don't buy off-brand bulbs. They don't last.

How do you change the low beam headlight bulb

Open the hood and look at the side of the car that the bulb is shot. There should be two metal pins that should swing out and lift off. With these pins out you should be able to pull the headlight bezel out replace the bulb. Generally they twist off the bezel.

Replace a headlight in 2005 chevrolet trailblazer It is the low beam light that is on the passager side.

Purchase a pair of bulbs (30.00). Start by removing the plastic trim with the Chevy emblem, pry off with a screw driver. There are two tabs that hold the head light assembly in place. Pull both up and the assembly falls forward. A quarter turn releases the bulb housing. Change bulb and reassemble in reverse order.

How to change bulb on drivers side low beam head light

My niece has a jimmy, they should be the same. The inside should be the high beam, the outside the low, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS ON NEW BULBS! Oil will cook on them and pop them! Both come off the same way. Take off the big rubber thing. They are soft but over hard plastic. Just pull them off. If you have trouble, you can flip the little wire clips that hold the headlight housing in place, this will give you room to see the rubber caps enough to figure them out better. The bulb assembly rotates CCW counter clockwise, and should slip out easily. Take the wires and plug off. it should be obvious how it pulls off. Snap the new bulb into the wires without touching the glass part. Gently replace in backwards order as you removed it. Put the rubber caps on, they keep water off the bulbs. It will break them!

The passenger side was harder for me. I had to take the air cleaner off, the whole cover and filter. You should be able to see or feel the same type caps, The low beam outside, High beam inside. The same 2 wire clips are there to release the housing. Everything pretty much goes the same, other than the air cleaner has to be removed and replaced. And make sure the rubber cap is replaced! Good Luck and good motoring!
