It is behind the the crank pully if it is the 3.8 and you have no spark the cam has a magnet on it that goes bad had you have to take the front of thr engine apart and do a timming chain and cam pick up in it to check you need to take the cam sensor out and se ot the magnet is still there

I seriously doubt it. Sometimes the crankshaft or camshaft sensor fails and the other is used by the ECU to get you by. Many vehicles do not do this. The ECU uses this for spark plug firing timing and is critical...

you most likely have a bad air bag censer has his model been in a crash is so you may have to have it reset. take tit to a shop or dealer se if they can reset censer if that don\'t fix it replace censer is next step

Wont start i checked the fuel rail its getting gas but wont startcould it be the crank shaft sensor

Could be crankshaft or camshaft position censer or distributor, or coil pack, it will be a matter of trouble shooting. Hope this helps a little and good luck.

Location of crankshaft censer 2007 chevy cobalt

The Crank shift sensor is located in front of the motor in between the intake manifold and oil filter housing, nest to the knock sensor. Look on side cylinder block beside have to remove the starter to remove the crankshaft sensor. Hope this helps. Thanks for choosing Fixya, RJ

PO 340 code, ck wires replaced censer,car starts and runs fine ,then runs cuts in and out for about 30 sec then runs fine after that,doesn't do it all the time

since the code is the circuit malfunction and just not the sensor recheck the wiring and connections may have a bad connector or a break in wire also check the crankshaft sensor wiring and connections which is also part of circuit

1988 GMC Sierra K1500 4x4 350 V8 wont start.

If you have a coil pack on that .You have a crankshaft censer.Change the crank censer.
