99 continental temp gauge not rising

Usually a sign of a faulty thermostat or temp gauge sending unit.
If the engine really is not reaching normal temp you would be burning more fuel.
Assuming the radiator is full of coolant, you could test the sending unit for the gauge, but my money is on a new thermostat.

Car never reaches operating temperature (cold weather) thus little to no heat inside

change the thermostat, sounds like it could stuck open and wont allow the engine reach operating temp, also test the constant control relay module located to the right of the battery as your facing the front of the car, also test coolant temp switch it might be defective and producing a high voltage that would cause the fans to constantly operate no matter the temp. Hope this helps

Why my heater in 2000 plymouth breeze only gives a little heat? Could it be a hose ? I know it's not the thermostat, the blowers ar working. I am wonding if theres some hoses that could be leaking?I don't...

it could be the cold air blend door or the thermostat is the engine temp up to the middle of the gauge or close to it if so then thermostat is ok if not then go ahead and replace it.

1997 ford taurus' Flushed radiator,Added( 2 ) gallons of prestone, checked hoses ,etc.... found hose on back of engine not hot like the rest,''flushed it:still no heat!!!

Did you have heat before the flush and refill? If you did, there is probably just air in the system. I'm not sure if you have a bleeder bolt for the cooling system. Is it running in the normal temp range according to the gauge? I would drive it until it reaches operating temp, watch the gauge carefully to make sure it doesn't overheat, park it, and check the level of coolant in the morning. You may just have to top it off then, and I think you should have heat.

Heater blows cold

If no coolant flowing through the heater core then ther is no heat. There are 2 possible root causes needed to check out: 1- THE VALVE TO CONTROL THE COOLANT FLOWING TO THE HEATER CORE IS NOT OPENING AS DESIRED. 2- THE HEATER CORE GOT CLOGGED UP AND NEED TO BE FLUSHED.

The heater is not heating the car when on hot

1st check the coolant level. Low level will cause a no heat situation as you describe. What does the engine temp. gauge indicate? Is it indicating on the low side of normal, or is it in the normal range? If it indicates a low operating temp. after car warm up, the thermostat may be stuck open, which would not allow the car to fully warm up, and again, result in the no heat condition. Let me know about checking the coolant level, and temp gauge info. Curt
