You most likely have a defective Body Control Module, the dealer can test this and confirm the failure. I do assume all the fuses are ok.

I replaced the blower motor on my 98 and no, you don't have to pull the dash. You need to get under the dash so you will be pulling out the glove box. From there you start removing the screws on the blower motor housing (big round plastic piece) and then unhook the electrical connections and then the motor. Before you do all that, what have you done to confirm it's the motor? Does it only blow on one speed? If so, it may not be the motor but an easier fix - the resistor.

Hope you've been doing a few crunches to build up the abdominal muscles as it's a tight fit to get into this area and it takes a few contortions to work in there.

The Blower Motor Resistor is located behind the glove box on the dash. Remove the whole glove box to access. The Resistor is mounted against/sort of into the fire wall.
1. Disconnect the negative side of battery.
2. Disconnected the Electrical Connection to the Resistor.
3. Remove the bolts/screws. I believe they have 8mm heads, there should be 2 of them.
4. Replace with new one/Replug electrical connection.
5. Reconnect the negative side last.
6. Test System before putting the glove box back in!
The Blower Motor is easy (compared to $1000) to remove and replace.

The cold air in AC mode is not blowing.

Check the fuse for the blower motor, check for battery voltage at the blower motor (blower motor under dash on passenger side) Close to the blower motor is the power module. Make sure it has power and ground going in and a pulsing ground coming out going to the blower motor.

Heater AC Problem 99 Escalade

On the passengers side under the dash you will find the blower motor. You might have to remove a panel.By the blower motor there is a blower motor resistor module that gets hot and will melt the connector to the blower motor.Check this area out and if it is melted you need to replace the resistor and the connector. You should be able to get one from the dealership.Hope this helps.Good luck.
