Question about Lincoln Mark VIII
No tricks. first turn off air suspension by the switch in the trunk. lift the vehicle and you have one shaft(upper ball joint) that goes through the spindle. remove the bolt that goes through the spindle and tap lightly. the lower potion should fall away. remove the 2 bolts that go through the bushings to secure the "pivot point" of the arm to the frame of the vehicle. thats it. once you are done replacing the arm, do not allow the vehicle to be totally lowered. lower it with the jack until it sits about where it normally would and then turn your air suspension or air ride switch back on and wait. once thouroughly inflated, remove the jack.
