Sounds like an electrical short somewhere. One possible way to test this theory would be to disable the brake light switch at the brake pedal. If you unplug the switch then see if pushing the brake makes the oil light come on, if the problem goes away then somewhere two wires have rubbed together and worn thru the insulation and are shorting out. BE AWARE that you will have no brake lights during this experiment. and should not do it where there are other motorists. One other thing, Is there any chance you are mistaking the brake system warning indicator for the oil light? I'm not being a smart a** , just checking.

SOURCE: removing the 2.7 engine from 2001 sebring sedan?

ok heres the simple version its alot of work
remove hood put someplace safe
disconnect all wireing and mark off with masking tape and marker
****** you need car lift ******
remove all plastic part molding from engine
find the engine hoist holes for chain to hook to
this is a unibodi design so the whole front chassis drops down
unbolt the chassis make sure to have the chasis blocked and stable
lift car while chasis stays on floor engine tranny and every thing inside hood comes down on the unibody this is how you remove an engine from a sebring

or you take to the dealer spend the doe cause you got a nice car and have it done right

SOURCE: Car shake when brakes are applied.

Sounds like your front brake discs are faulty, causing the oscillation.
They require, if possible? skimming, or renewal, along with the brake pads.
You describe the classic symptoms of this fault.
Good Luck !
John.

SOURCE: oil light??

I was lucky on mine. It was just a bad oil sender switch that needed to replaced, plus the cable connector up-grade. Oil was leaking past the switch. Oil pressure was measured at full spec, both at idel and running.

SOURCE: 2002 Chrysler Sebring Oil pressure light

Could be a bad oil pressure switch, or a bad oil pump. Both will cause this issue. Hope it is the switch b/c the oil pump is a costly repair.

Assuming you have checked all fuses, the next step would be to locate central grounding points (there may be several) and remove and clean battery terminals and the remote ends of the cables at their attachment points.Locating some of these may be easier with a manual covering the electrical system of the car:
Sebring manual
When removing battery cables, always start with the negative cable first and reattaching it last.
