You will need the serial number of the radio. To get the radio serial number please follow the instructions below:

Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the accessory position.
Radio OFF. Hold in the radio station buttons numbered 1 and 6. Continue to hold the buttons in as you turn the radio on, continue to hold the buttons in until you see a series of 5 numbers and letters starting with the letter U. Release the button and write the first series of numbers down. Then a second series of numbers will be displayed starting with the letter L. Write the numbers down.
The 10 characters will be the serial number.
Call your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they will be able to give you the activation code.

Good Luck!

When i changed ignition on 2001 ford explorer I ended up having to replace steering column now it wont turn over & the anti theft light flashes & wont stop. what can be done to get car started?

At least you know the anti theft system is working. Jokes aside, I would think that the electronic security system is not recognising the new lock and steering column. You could try leaving the battery completely disconnected for at least 2 or 3 hours to see if the system resets. Reconnect the battery and then try again with the new key. You will have to put the security code back into your radio as well. If this doesn't work, it may need to go to a Dealer to reprogram your electronic system.

Retreve radio code 05 caravan

Hi Robert, I'm AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

I look forward helping you with your problem!

Robert, if your radio is a Chrysler radio that came with the vehicle then your problem is not a code issue. Two things may have happened. (1) You may have blown a fuse while replacing the battery. Check all fuses. (2) The Radio was on its last leg and the battery change may have help it go out. Here, one thing you can try if the fuses are good. Pull the radio out and try unplugging and reinstalling the connectors at the back of the radio. Some times this will kick start the radio back to life. If not you'll need a new radio, sorry for the bad news. If you should need further assistance click here. Auto Repair

Stereo not working

Your stereo may have a security code that needs to be entered whenever the radio is disconnecred from the battery. It's an anti-theft device that makes the radio worthless to theives (even though nobody would steal a factory radio but, I digress...).

Have a look through all of the documentation for your van, owners manual, any additional pamphelts, etc. There may be one for the radio that should contain the reset code.
