Thats a fun one. Had to do it on a 68 camaro. Basically from the middle of the car fish the back end over the axle until you can start the front towards the engines fuel pump. You should have gotten new retaining clips that snap or screw into the frame rails. The brake line is just as much fun.

Disc brakes, front

Could be air in brake lines. You don't say if the brakes are power but if they are, have you also changed the master cylinder and brake booster? If so, the plunger from the brake pedal to booster may be need adjusting. Hope this helps

I have a 1966 Chevy Caprice 327 Holley and the idle is running up and down what's the solution?

Did you just install the carb, or is this a new problem with some age on the carb ?
You would need to have a way for the throttle plate to open and close, or have a vac leak somewhere.
The idle speed will not increase without extra air coming into the intake.
Its also possible the engine is starving for fuel and the RPM is dropping almost to zero then recovering.

How to install clock in chevelle 1966

Replacements differ from one supplier to another. Get the name, etc. off the clock and contact them. I had to do the same thing for a '69 Corvette replacement clock.

How do you install a fuel pump on to a 1966 mustang with a straight 6?

Apply sealer to both sides of the gasket and position it on the pump. Hold the pump in position on the mounting surface and make sure the rocker arm is hitting the cam eccentric. Hold the pump tight against the block and install the bolts. Tighten them alternately, hook up the fuel lines and start the engine to check for leaks. Hope this helps.

1966 chevelle with 283 cu. in.

the r terminal only has 12 volts on it when you are cranking the starter over. so the wire that goes to the r terminal goes to the plus side of the coil then the wire that come from the switch also goes to the coil this wire should have only about 8.5 volts on it when switch is in run position the r terminal puts 12 volt on the coil while cranking the motor over the when the switch is in the run position there is 8.5volt on the points so you don't burn the points out the diode kit i don't no why you need it unless the don't what any back feed volt to the r terminal in the run position so i would put it in line(series) with the r terminal wire the flow on the diode is from the -<- this side of the diode goes to the coil
