Help for the airbag icon flashing -- is it obviously serious, or could it be a wiring issue or other simple fix? It has just begun a system of multiple flashes and then off for several minutes OR a solid glow and then off; usually flashing and usually repeated about ten minutes apart. There are other minor dash problems that i do not know how to fix -- odometer light out, right turn indicator light out (all signal lights function properly outside),

Upon ignition on the airbag diagnostic module will scan the system for any fault, if there is a fault the airbag indicator will flash. The first set of flash signifies the first digit then a pause the next set of flash for the second digit.Combine these two digits denotes the fault code i.e (two rapid flashes means 2 then a pause followed by three flashes means 3 combine these will read 23 this is the fault code but you need to consult this in the repair manual for ford cars to get the particular fault.Repetitions of 5 sets will occur then steady light on for the airbag.Just replace the instrument cluster and replace the busted bulbs for odometer and turn indicator

When you start the vehicle the cpmuter does a system check, then the light is supposed to go out. If the light comes on, it is because of a, sensor, or control module. when it is this state, it can do 1 of 2 things. #1 Fail to work in the event of a collision, or #2 Go of on its own while you are driving. Depending on the mileage and warranty honored by the manufacturer. If you have a dealership that used for service, call them and explain the situation and ask what they can and WILL do for you

The srs light came on after battery when dead on 2001 honda odyssey van

umm.. if your srs (safety restraint system) light is on that means that either an airbag, seatbelt, or some other (possibly serious) thing is broken in the system. The only way that i know to reset it is to fix the problem, whether it be a simple switch in a seat belt or complicated fix like fixing an airbag deployment system.

Airbag light

Obviously the computer in you car does not sense the airbag. It could be something simple like a bad connection or something major where the propellent or gas generator in the old airbag is faulty. In any event your system will not deploy so you should recheck your wiring and if that doesn't fix the problem, the airbag should be replaced.

the airbag light is on, it telling you that there have a problem on your airbag system, such as simple wiring issue with a sensor, or it could be as bad as an abs module. it need to be plugged into a OBD2 code scanner/reader to know exactly what part triggered the code.

Peugeot 107

Sounds like possible charging system problems to me. Also, Having the airbag light flashing is a serious safety issue. I would recommend getting it properly diagnosed and/or repaired by a trained technician.

I have a 04 cadillac escalade that i unplug the air bag wire by mistake now the air bag light is on haw to reset it

I believe that you will have to take the car in to a dealership or other mechanic to have them reset the code in the computer -- just reconnecting the wire will probably not resolve the issue. If you let the mechanic know what happened, he should be able to reset the error code and resolve the issue in short order -- but he may have to inspect the system first (so that he can be sure it is still working properly and that the light will not come right back on). This should not take long, or cost very much since they likely won't have to replace anything major.
It is unlikely, but possible, that unhooking the airbag wire could have caused a problem with the system that is more major than a quick inspection can fix (these systems are VERY sensitive and are vital to your safety in case of an accident) so they might tell you that you need to replace the airbag itself of some other part in the system ... these are usually expensive to replace, but could save your life in the long run ... so I recommend replacing what they tell you is not working right (though it is your choice -- just keep in mind that the designers of the car have accounted for the airbag in their safety analysis of the vehicle so you could be putting yourself at serious risk by not fixing it). Since the advent of airbags, designers have begun to account for them in their automotive designs and safety specifications ... and they have become a vital part of the vehicle's overall safety rating, so not having a working airbag in a car designed to have one is not the same as driving a car from the age before airbags were invented. Please bare this in mind while making your decision.

Hi The airgag system light stays on after ignition

The computer detected something wrong with the airbag system, and it's likely that the airbags will NOT deploy if you are in an accident. It could be a simple disconnected wire somewhere, or a bad sensor; not expensive to repair but you have to know exactly what to do to repair it, or you could set off the airbag instead.

Sorry, this is NOT a do-it-yourself project. Take this to your dealer or other trusted mechanic and get it repaired by a professional. If you set off the airbag trying to repair it yourself, you will cause about $2000 to $5000 (US) damage to the vehicle. And obviously, NOT having the airbag deploy in an accident when it should, could cause serious injury or death, even if you are wearing your seatbelts. (You DO wear your seltbelts, don't you?)

Air bag light flashing (red)

Airbags dont need to be replaced. There is an issue with the electrical that connects to the airbags. This is not a DIY project because if you connect the wrong wires it could cause the bags to deploy and you could get seriously hurt - or cost $3,000 if your lucky to replace the bags
