Brakes grabbing When there is any moisture rain or snow or heavy dew it seems like the brakes grab. We have had it checked and no one seems to know what is happening. Other times it is fine. I am afraid my husband is going to be hurt by this grabbing

Possibly the material of the brake pads, installed incorrect or just need to be replaced. Also is possible that the rotors need to be turned/resurfaced.

Brakes grab

The brake pads are grabbing due to moisture, I would replace them with a set of high quality after market ones to stop this problem.

could be pads are low you should remove your wheel and check to see if you have brake pads. if you are down to metal then you may need to surface your disc or maybe replace it.

My rear brakes grabbing on 2000 sunfire need help

Grabbing drum brakes are usually caused by moisture on the shoes. This can be oil, water, brake fluid, ect. Most likely unless it's been raining really hard for a while you probably have a wheel cylinder leaking brake fluid and they will need to be replaced.

Brakes seem to stick.

If you have rear drum brakes then a brake shoe could have come apart causing the wheel to grab and skid on the pavement. If you can see external signs of dark wet areas that would be a leaking brake cylinder which can also cause the brakes to grab. The other possibiity, more common with disc brakes, is that a brake calliper is closing, but is not releasing properly when you let off the brake pedal. This would require replacement of the disc caliper on the wheel where it is grabbing.
Warped rotors can also cause the brake to "grab" when you don't want them to, but generally it will grab and release with a "pulsating' feeling if that's the problem.

it could be the brake pads have absorbed moisture and on the first apply they grab. I would replace the pads with a better quality and see what happens. The noise your hear under the hood is the ABS pump working because the wheels are locking up .

Brake problem

It sounds like your rear brakes needs to be service. Your brake shoes are worn too thin or the retainer clips are broken holding your brake shoes in the right place. Good luck
