Without more info, I would have to guess that your A/C compressor is locking up and bogging down the motor.Unplug the electrical connection at the comp, and try it again.

I have a 2001 Olds aurora the other day I was driving went to turn the A/C on the lights come on but no air comes from the vents, when I try the defrost same story no air. It has always worked fine...

John, I had the same problem, check the fuse under the backseat, if it is good then turn the key to the on position, turn the air or the fan on, then wiggle the fuse maybe pull it out and put it back, if the fan starts then it is the same as mine. Its just a bad connection where the fuse plugs in.

How to fix no heat in 95 aurora olds. and a/c stays on with defrost on.

The A/C compressor is supposed to run in defrost mode. The only modes the compressor won't cycle is floor only and face only. This is to keep the seals in the system lubed during the winter.

If you don't have heat, check the coolant level. If the level is low you won't have heat.

My 1998 aurora shuts off when in drive or when

The cars engine is most likey doing this...yes, not to worry....The engine is shut down by the ignition coil, it is either faulty and may need replacement, also, for better results, try to tune up the spark plugs, and make sure battery is fully charged... This should get Aurora back on his wheels...:)

Only btm 1/2 of rear defrost works on 98 Aurora

hopefully this will help, there is a fuse box under the back seat the one closest to the battery, there you will find that there are 2 fuses for the rear defrost try checking those out
