I've experienced a rapid frequency vbibration that sounds like it comes from the front left dash. I isolated it as the small plastic molding on the outside of the windshield, just below the windshield. There is a small plastic strip like molding piece that ends near the end of the windshield. I used some double sided foam tape sandwiched between the bottom of the molding and the plastic piece belwo it and that solved the problem. I have had to replace the tape every year or so

If there is vibrating thru the whole car, than it might be either your alignment is off or you need to replace your struts. If you can not feel a vibrate, than it might just be to small to notice and then it might be that your tires need to be balance. counter weights fall(fly) off commonly, all off this with the thought of something in your dash lose. Other than that it might be something inside your dash like your blower fan thats shaking or making noise.

Vibration on 2004 Cadillac Deville

If a hub bearing was bad, it almost always would make noise, more so when changing lanes at higher speed. Outer CV joints make a loud low pitched rattle when turning (corners). Inner CV joints raise hell at high speed- bad shake! Sway links affect cornering and clunk when hitting rough patches of road surface.
Is the vibration worse at 65 than at 50? If so, you are dealing with a wheel balance situation. Find an old time front end shop that will check the balance on the vehicle. You will have to turn off the traction control to do this or use an on-the-car wheel balancer.
If you feel it at some low speeds at it comes back at other higher speeds, then you are dealing with tire roundness. Possible more than 1. More common than we would like.

Bring in the car to a PROFESSIONAL shop. Mention your problem & ask about a wheel balance, alignment & make your problem clear before any work is done. Mention bearings etc. Ive dealt w millions of csrs at my own private shop & that would be your best approach. NO JIFFY LUBE TYPE SHOP

2008 vette coupe experiences a humming/vibration type sound coming from passenger side console, it seems to activate at higher speeds after driving for awhile. Are there there any motor or hydraulic types...

I have the exact same problem on my 08 starts at about 65mph and is really bad above 80 goes away at 95 or so. I have determined that it is not a motor. I think it is a wire that is vibrating against the dash pad. I am going to take my center console out and lay the radio and climate controls to the side and drive the car to see which wire it is. I tried removing the console and securing all the visible wires last night. but the problem is still there so I may have missed it. Driving and seeing behind that area and looking for the culprit is the only sure fire way for me to positivley Id it. I will let you know what I find out. you please do the same. viper139@bellsouth.net

Vibration noise from cabin ventilation fan

Pull the fan motor and look for debris. Sounds like a balance issue. Test the unit on a bench. If cleaning will not resolve, replace the unit.

2004 ford freestar 4.2L engine...high pitched

this sounds odd but mine did this when i replaced the wipers. it seems the design of the wiper frame was making a whistle at higher speeds. the freestar wipers are exposed on the window cowl and not hidden so they endure the winds at high speed. it is worth a shot.

Could be a U-joint near failure. You will know it is a U-joint if you hear a clunk when you put it in gear. Failing U-joints will cause a lot of vibration just before they go.
