When both wheels are in the air it is normal that one wheel will not turn when put in gear.

There is nothing wrong with the axle or the transmission.

Steering wheel not centered

You will need to have an alignment performed to center the steering wheel. If any front end steering parts have been changed, the steering angles will be affected causing the sterring wheel to be off center. Also, hitting curbs/potholes can affect the alignment off setting the steering wheel

Steering wheel not centered on my 96 chev caprice classic

This is caused by needing an alignment or worn front end parts. An alignment will correct the steering wheel. It goes out of align, when hitting pot holes, curb ETC, God-Bless!

Play in steering 1985 dodge w150

You need to remove & rebuild the steering box

I would have done that first

Then work my way to other
parts away from it

You adjust it after you rebuild it

I hit a curb and broke the racket pinion but replaced it and its making a squelching noise like the tires are squelching what could this be

If you hit a curb hard enough to break the rack and pinion, then you have also damaged some other parts in your front end. You need to take the car to an alignment shop and have it checked over. You could be looking at repalceing ball joints, tie rod ends, struts or even control arms. Hope this helps.

My son hit a curb and broke the right front axle what parts do i need to buy

Find a used right front axle from a wrecking yard. I can't think of any other parts that would be needed unless you for some reason can't pull out the old shaft and have to open the transmission.

Side note: The force required to break a front axle is not consistant with "hitting a curb". Something more sinister has happened to this car and a front-end inspection would be advisable.

2006 dodge ram front end shakes when hitting a bump at 40 + mph please help?

You have to make somebody to check the struts, or shocks, and also the axles, this situation is very dangerous because if the problem are the terminals or the axles, they can be broke while driving and you will lost control of the steering wheel... completely. I mean, no steering wheel working, on a car running...

Wat happens if ur power stearing gear box is going

It isn't the power steering box. You have some worn or broken components in your front end. I would only drive it to a garage to get it onto a lift.

My cars steering wheel is twisted when im driving straight..i also hear a cracking sound near the front

This is a potentially dangerous situation. The problem is most likely a worn ball joint or possibly a tie rod end. The front end would need to be jacked up to inspect the parts. After the vehicle is safely supported, you can grasp the tire and move it back and fourth and up and down etc. to see if there is any play in the joints. If you can't replace the parts yourself, have a mechanic check it.

Do not wait, as if the tie rod end or the ball joint comes loose, you will not be able to steer your car.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Vibration in front end

It is likely both your track bar and the lack of a steering gear box stabilizer. The bushings on your stock track bar can be replaced with polyeurethane or metal bushings which will help curb the problem.
The steering stabilizer attaches to your steering gear box and your frame allowing the steering to be more stable. I have put both on my truck and it drives like a caddy now as a result. If I had to choose between the two items, my money would go to the steering stabilizer first. I believe I bought mine here:
Hope this helps
