put in reverse get going 5-10 mph put in neutral then try to get out of FWD while still in motion. This doesn't always work but it eliminates

I have a 1996 chevy blazer and dont know how to disengage from four wheel drive to two wheel drive?

As I recall the 96 blazer had electronic shifting for 2wd to 4wd. There should be a small panel on the drivers dash buttons for 2wd, 4wd lo and 4wd hi.

Simply press the desired button while stationary and if the system is functioning properly then it will shift and the light for the engaged type of drive will be lighted. Generally you would like to be in 2wd for this vehicle.

4x4 dont always work when i push button they blink gos back in 2wheel

I had the same problem. I was told by a service tech to take the battery term off the negitive side for 10 to 15 mins and let the TCCM (Transfer Case Control Mod) reset its self.
It worked!
My blazer is fine now. 4 x 4 is working best ever. I would start there and save yourself $$$$$$$$ at the repair shop.

4wd switch works but front axle doesn't pull in 4wd

Likely fault is the is the switch motor located under the Blazer and bloted to the tranny. Looks like a wiper motor and my have a skid plate to be removed. Not a cheap part!

4wd low not working 4wd high works but when you put the truck in neutral and press the low button nothing happens the button doesnt even light up

Most likely the button the dash is shot. I had a Blazer that did the same thing. Took the button apart, cleaned it and started working fine.[contact was bad]....just a thought before you go out and buy one !!

Transfer case motor for push button 4x4

i have a 1993 blazer 4.3 w code 4x4 with a 4L60 E . my truck wouldn;t go in 4 hi or low. so i changed the transfer case motor and it works fine now. If you turn the ignition key to on but not crank the engine and open the driver door and push 4 hi button, you should hear the transfer case motor cycle for 3 or 4 seconds every time you push button and the light will flash until it goes in 4wd If the 4 hi button light doesn't flash during cycle then it could be a bad switch. if the transfer case motor won't cycle it could be a fuse or a bad transfer case motor . Hope this answers your question.

2000 chevy s10 blazer

first the flashing light means that it is trying to go into 4wd. as far as i know there is no adjustment. The shift motor may be bad, If the transfer case is shifting it could be the silinod in the front differantal.
