My 2003 Chevrolet Impala has a problem with the headlights. bright lights work dim lights do not work. the light bulbs seem to be fine.

If you are 100% sure the lights are ok, it's going to either be the headlamp relay or the high/low switch. I'd swap a bulb for a new one before moving on to more troubleshooting.

Hope this helps.

When I have my bright lights on the headlights will go off after a few minutes. It is fine when the dim lights are on.

you problem without doubt,is you need a relay for your bright lights, very common ,, the current draw is too great for the system.,,so the overload cuts in,switches them off.you probably have spotlights on the same circut, fit a relay and you will have no more trouble
