Question about Chevrolet TrailBlazer
At the top, there will be there studs, with nuts, they have to be removed(the nuts)This is in the strut tower, under the hood,Of course support the vehicle up on the side you are working on first, and support, with a floor jack, the lower a frame.Remove, either a pinch bolt at the other end, near the spindle,or it will be two bolts going threw the strut attaching it to the spindle, this will be lowered, and removed from the vehicle as a strut module, top bearing plate, and coil spring, and strut. Then using a strut spring compression tool, remove the spring, and install the new strut in reverse order,Now if the strut has the pinch bolt attaching it to the spindle, you will be fine,as there will be no alignment needed, but if it has the two bolts mounting it on the spindle, you will need an alignment.

While there is nothing to prevent the replacing of an individual shock or strut, it is not recommended. All four do not have to be replaced at the same time. At the very least they should be replaced in pairs, left and right.
