F.O. is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Rotor turns clockwise. Wire from coil to distributor is from negative side of coil. The positive side of coil is for hot wire originating from ignition switch. Always hot with key on.
For vacuum diagram, just google "1967 Buick Riviera 430 cu in, vacuum diagrams" . It is there.

If the hood is original to the car whoever removed the wiring may have simply taped it into the wire harness on the firewall. If they have been removed or cut off, you can locate the corresponding wires in the firewall harness and splice into it with the hood harness. Otherwise you may have to purchase both wire harness from a specialty warehouse and that will be expensive. If there are no wires/plug taped into the firewall harness there is also a possibility that the car didn't come with the hood signals and the hood was added later.

You'll probably need to buy a shop manual from Ebay. They are available on a CD now.

Your Buick Riviera's heater fan is powered by a blower motor, which in turn is powered by a blower motor resistor. The resistor is a small electrical component that also regulates the fan speeds of the blower motor. Like any part, the blower burns out from time to time and has to be replaced. Replacement blower motor resistors cost about $50. It will take you about 30 minutes to install a new one in your Buick Riviera.

     Open the hood and disengage the negative battery cable on your Buick Riviera using your socket set. You will need a 10mm socket to loosen the battery cable bolt.

     Remove the plastic trim panel under the glove compartment on the passenger side of your Riviera.

     Loosen and remove the mounting screws that hold the blower resistor in place on your Riviera.

     Unplug the wiring harness from the old blower resistor and then remove the resistor completely.

     Plug the wiring harness into your Buick's new resistor. Also tighten the screws to hold the resistor in place.

     Reattach the negative battery cable on your Riviera and tighten it with your socket set.
