Simply unbolt the trans pan under the trans and the oil falls to the ground... clean the pan with clean rag. get all old gasket off.. place new gasket in and bolt the pan back into place. tighten the bolts to around 7 lbs. do not over tighten the bolt, you could strip the threds. put new trans fluid in through the dip stick hole that you check the level.

Saturn 1998 SL1 Spending approximately 1 liter of engine oil every 3 = 5 days there is no oil leak on any of engine gaskets How to reduced oil spending ....any suggestion ??

you have an internal engine problem which points to piston ring wear being the most likely cause of oil consumption. the piston rings are allowing too much oil to coat the cylinder walls which is burned off when combustion takes place inside the cylinder. one indication is you can see heavy black build up inside your exhaust components. this is the only way for oil to leave the engine without any external evidence of a leak.

1998 sl1 oil in water running hot

If you have oil in your coolant then your head gasket is blown. Be careful, and don't let it fully overheat because you will warp your head and have to buy an entire engine.

I have a 1999 Saturn sl1 I have had the head gasket replaced and a oil change but my new oil on my dip stick still looks like a choc milk shake color

Then the new gasket was not done properly or was not the only issue to begin with. A crack in the head or block can mix the oil and coolant together as well.

I have a 1993 saturn manual transmission and when

Time to find a much lower mileage used tranny and have it put in. Replace the clutch components with new stuff while you are at it.Note that the transmissions 91-99 will most likely swap but you must know whether you have an SL1 or SL2 and the donor car must be the same..

check your spark plug wells for oil build up. A BIG problem with the early saturn's are related to the rubber valve cover gaskets the go around the spark plug wells. I have changed dozens that just ware out.

I am not a car expert by any means, but sounds like a transmission problem. I would get that checked.
