How do i remove the gas pump from the tank on a 99 ford mustang

first, disconnect the battery, raise and support rear of car on jackstandsdisconnect all hoses wiring connectors from fuel tank. support fuel tank with a suitable jack loosen and remove straps holding the fuel tank and lower tank, using a BRASS punch remove the lock ring on top to remove fuel pump assembly being careful not to damage or misalign float assembly. install in reverse order. connect battery check for leaks. Check the actuators for the variable intake runners, that is what this code means. Many times the little linkage rod is disconnected.

97 mustang power loss at 4000 rpm seems like it wants to go but won't doent do it when cold only after runing for about 15 minutes seems like it bogs down

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.Check your fuel pressure it should be 30-45 psi with key on and engine off.

First thing I would check is all of your vacuum lines. I had same problem and turned out there was a split in one of my vacuum lines. Once I repaired it, it worked perfectly again.

Where is the vent on an 1985 Mustang GT

to check the pump diconnect the fuel line & place bucket under it to catch the fuel & turn ignition on DONT START IT!
if it continues pumping thats ok!
if tank is blocked, when you open gas fileeer it will have pressure as you relese the cap & that will tell you it blocked

this could be a number of problems. check to see if you are getting fire, if not the coil pack might be bad. and are you certain you ar getting fuel to the injectors. if not this could be a clogged fuel line, a bad fuel pump relay, or a bad fuel pump.
