Hi there, the problem could also lie with the fuel injectors / fuel pressure, burned valves, exhaust restriction, etc. Lots of things, for a more detailed list see http://www.obd-codes.com/p0300

I get engne code p0300 what does that mean and what do i do already changed plugs and wires

check the coil, Normally when that code comes up its followed by more, as in P0301 02 03 , which would indicate which cylinder is being effected, P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected is what the code means and any of these could effect that code being thrown
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer

144k on the 1999 dodge caravan and getting a check engine light, Connected code reader and got generic code p0300 "random/multiple cylinder misfiredetected" What now?

Replace the spark plugs and plug wires unless you have already done so. Also check all vacuum hoses for leaks. After doing this post back if you still have the same issue. Remember to replace the plug wires or vacuum hoses one at a time as to not get confused. This will more than likely solve your random misfire. Reset the light after the repair with your scanner.

Engine light on scanned p0300 po301 and another 1735 or 1755 or 1765 not sure but ignition coil ouput #1

P0300 indicates one of the following
Spark plugs,
Ht Leads,
Injectors.
ignition coil.
low compression
P0301 indicates one of the following on cylinder one
engine mechanical fault (low compression)
wiring.
ignition / fuel
injector.
ECT/MAF sensor.
ECM.

not that i need to tell you but you have a misfire on cylinder one, check the spark plug <> HT lead <> injector <> low compression, as the coil supplies a spark to all cylinders i would rule that out for now apart from a visual check,

96 dodge caravan 3.0 has p300 and p306 codes,

A P0306 code means that the the ECM has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #6.

A code P0306 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Faulty spark plug or wire, Faulty coil (pack), Faulty fuel injector, Burned exhaust Valve, Poor compression, and Defective computer.

Check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the Caravan, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). The number six cylinder is the one towards the radiator and drivers side. If you are going to change all the plugs and wire keep me posted, be glad to help. Good luck and hope this helps, P0300 just means multi miss fire.

Engine light comes on - Code shows P0300 and then

OBD II 300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

When the misfire monitor detects a misfire, it will trigger the check engine light with the specific cylinder number as the last digit in the P030X code. For instance cylinder 1 misfire is P0301, cylinder 2 is P0302 etc. In this case we have either multiple cylinders misfiring, or the computer simply can't determine the specific cylinder, and as such we are left with the P0300 in computer memory.

Possible Causes:

Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors and computer issues
Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality
Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine
Incorrect Fuel Pressure
EGR system concerns: leaking EGR valve or restricted ports
Base engine concerns: low compression, valve train problems and timing issues
Ignition system concerns including, but not limited to:
Faulty spark plugs
Faulty coil or related wiring
Ignition module or related wiring issues
Ignition related sensor faults or wiring issues
