Question about GMC Jimmy
Hello chat1999: My name is Roger and I will help. If you have 5 injectors spraying fuel and one that is spaying a steam. You need to replace the one that is not spraying. The engine needs a preset fuel pressure in order to start. The one that is spraying a stream is open and the fuel pressure will never come up to what is required to start and run the engine. I would also look at the oil. If the injector is dumping fuel a lot of unburnt fuel will end up in the oil pan. Also the converter will feel the brunt of the bad injector. This will cause emission problems until all the fuel is burnt out of the system. You think the regulator is the problem. This is simple to check. Unplug the regulator and turn the key on. If fuel is observed coming from the regulator it is defective and should be replaced. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. This way I know it was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
