1998 Dodge Durango, when starting everything seems to be coming on but it wont fire, (turn over) just replaced battery 4 days ago. Have checked the battery and it appears to be hooked up tight. It does start some of the time but not always has me puzzled

If it smells like it is getting gas and then floods check spark plugs see if soaked in gas clean and dry reinstall see if it will start if so you have a weak spark either the coil or the pickup coil in the distributor or both are going bad start with coil then if problem is still there replace distributor and put a new cap and rotor on new distributor good luck

This happened to me when we got our 99 Durango back from collision work. Looked like a light show at Disney. Check the ground wires on the fire wall . There are alot of them and you'll have to really look for them all but your car is doing exactly what mine did. The body shop missed 4 ground wires during the repair and it drove me nuts but once they were all back on it was fine.

Dodge Durango 2000, Won't turn over

Take the battery out and get it tested. Even if it has 12 volts the load of trying to turn the starter can pull it down below 9volts. You need a min of 10.5v to start the car

could be Fuel Injectors, are bad ?
all you need is # 1 Fuel Injector, to go out that will not get Fire, and Fuel Mixture to Spark Plug.

99 dodge durango will not start

Check the fuel pump when you turn the key forward but dont crank it and see if you hear the fuel pump engaging. I hope this helps.
