The Horn for a 1995 to 1998 Grand Am SE/GT is located right behind the driver side headlight. In order to access the horn you will have to "either" take out the battery and access it through a small hole after removing the windshield washer fluid resavoir filler tube(1 bolt and gently pull it out) OR you will have to jack the front of the car up and go up under the bumper(still a tight squeeze but you will have more room).

The horn in out 1998 pontiac grand am wont work. went and got a new horn and put them on but they dont work. fuse is good. someone said that it could be the relay. where is that located?

Actually the horn relay on this one is in the dash next to the flasher. This is to the left of the steering column if you are sitting in the driver's seat. It's kind of behind the dimmer switch.

Actually the horn relay on this year is in the dash next to the flasher. It's located just left of the steering wheel if you are sitting in the driver seat. It's kind of behind the dimmer switch.

Horn will not work, fuse not out, can't locate relay

find the horn in the engine compartment first. disconnect, then with some speaker wire, test it with the battery. If it honks, the the problem is elsewhere. If not, then you need a new horn.

Looking for ground location for the horn , for 05

Most of them are grounded to the frame of the vehicle. You could try changing the horn relay , which is located under the hood, in the engine compartment fuse block. It should be clearly marked on the cover. Or, it could be the horn itself that is faulty. It doesn't take much moisture or dirt inside them to make them not function properly.
