How to chang a reverse sencor on a s type jaguar

If the faulty sensor is one of the inner sensors the bumper has to come of. If it is a outer sensor only half the bolts on that side have to be removed. Start by partly removeing the under wing shield and there is access to the bolts, open the boot remove plastic shut trim and more bolts. Pull back side carpets remove the black side plates to get to more bolts remove bumper and replace the faulty sensor leave the bumper connected and pointing away and test before refitting.

Remove the top of front bumper to expose the head lamp mounting bolts. Undo mounting bolts, disconnect rear harness and reverse the procedure. Sounds easy but will actually consume about an hour of your time.

How difficult is it to change the rubber overriders on the bumpers of an US spec series 3 e type jaguar and to put back on the original chrome overriders (as in the uk spec cars)?

if you look underneath the bumper it only has a 1/2 inch bolt holding it on.if you can get it off (it may be rusted tight)then one for one.

Jaguar x type 2004 front bumper

Front bumper removal is quite easy. To start with there is 4 10mm bolts one by each headlamp ( with the bonnet open) remov them. There is 3 T30 screws that hold the under tray to the subframe and there is also a small corner trim that is on the bumper side of the front wheel arch here is 3 T30 screws holding them on on each side. Finally remove the front wheel arch lining so you can get acsess to the inside of the bumper. You will then see a 10mm bolt towards the top of the bumper that is reversed to you. Remove then the bumper should then just pull away.

My 2003 Jaguar S-Type has a faulty Reverse Park Control system. When shifting into Reverse gear, a constant tone sounds until the gear is shifted into a forward gear or neutral. What are the usual causes...

This is a sensor fault. The easiest way to locate wich sensor is faulty is to get up close to the sensors when the car is in reverse gear (engine off) with the ignition on and put your thumb nail on the sensor face as this will amplify the ticking noise that can be heard from the sensors. No tick indicates a sensor fault.

To disconnect the system will just give you the same problem with the constant tone unless you disconnect the park aid module wich is located in the boot of the vehicle on the left hand side behind the carpet trim. Beware that the handbrake module is there so ensure that you are looking at the right module (it will say on it)

Sensors are not expensive unless you need to have them painted to body coulor as they come in black. Easy push in/out fitment from the behind the bumper. Corner sensors can be replaced with the bumper in situ but centre sensors require the bumper to be removed.

Hope that helps

Recently, I bought a Jaguar 2003 X-Type with 2.5 liter engine. It was used with only only 75,000 miles. It was missing the ower's user manual. I need the user manual and a repair manual, if available at...

The Leaper Emblem will come with the wire attatched and is mounted with the bolts if the wire is seperate from the emblem it is broke at that end , the trim can be ordered from a dealership or check E-Bay , the emblem should come with instructions but the mounting bolts should be all you need to secure it .
