II have a 2010 chev malibu the heat and cooling fan does not work

Check for power at the fan resistor wire to the resistor, if power. change the resistor block itself. it controls fan speeds. Most resistors are beside the blower fan, below glove box. You may have to remove a panel to get to the fan resistor. check all fuses first! Even under hood fuse box.

Heat running on high only

The heater resistors have an open circuit.
Find blower resistors inside the dashboard and replace resistors.
Consult a Hayne's manual.

Heating and cooling fan not working

sounds like a bad blower resistor. The switch runs a straight 12 volts to the motor in high, but runs through the resistor on the lower speeds. The resistor is located somewhere on the HVAC unit(it requires airflow to avoid premature burnout).

Number 4 on my interior heating works but 1,2,3 dont why would this be??

It sounds like your blower motor resistor. It doesn't work on 1? What happens is the resistors burn out leaving less resistance for the current to flow through thus only having hi heat. I would start by checking the blower motor resistor. When you pull it out most of the time you can even see the resistors burnt out.

I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima, and the blower motor will only work on high. I have replaced the switch(resistor), and the motor. When you turn the blower motor switch on, the lights lite up, but motor will...

you replaced the switch or the resistor. They are two different parts. The resistor should be located near the blower motor. Since high speed bypasses the resistor I would say the resistor is the problem.

Also you didn't mention if you had auto heat, auto heat with navigation, or manual heat. It can make a difference in how to approach your problem. The info I provided above would be for manual heat since it is more common.

For more info on blower motor diagnoses you can click here. Your would be a ground side controlled system since the switch supplies the path to ground.

My heater was blowing heat on 4 and 5 and now stopped blowing heat completely, does this sound like I need to replace the resistor card?

sounds like the blower resistor, check to see if you have power to the blower if so then it's the blower motor,if not could be the resistor, fuse, relay,or control switch.
