Why does my infiniti fx35 2005 smoke when i start it up but after it heats it stopes

valve seals leaking oil into combustion chambers. Its a small leak that lets oil into the cylinder as it sits. It still leaks when your driving it at operating temp, but the leak is so small, its not noticeable. In a matter of a few hours tho, 4 little drops of oil will enter the cylinder, just enough to cause smoke. Drive on, no big deal unless it smokes under load, which means worn valves.

91 f250 runs fine cold but dies when warmed up

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? If temp related check the coolant temp sensor. Sometimes ford calls it a cylinder head temp sensor. I'd also use a gage and check proper fuel pressure.

the one thing in your statment is the knockes/knocking this what is known as the big ends and indicates the engine is under pressure and needs a lot of repair. If when you start the engine when cold if you stand at the back of the car and if the smoke coming out of the exhaust has a blue tint/ie like a old ladys hair tint ,as im sure you will see.[bottom line] the engine needs replaced.adrian,,,,

We just replace the radiator, fan, belts, water pump and pulley in my ford f250. It runs fine w/o a/c. When I turn the a/c on it makes alot of noise and smoke comes out of the compressor unit under the...

The smoke is probably coming from the Serpentine belt. Flip the belt and see if it is now starting to be SHINY. The belt is going faster than the Compressor has the ability to turn. More than likely, the Compressor is partially seized and needs to be replaced.

My 92 ford is using excessive gas and has a bad gas smell with alot of smoke coming from tailpipe after i add gas

If the smoke comming from the tail pipe is black your running rich. If thats the case the entire fuel system has to be ckecked out. Injectors could be leaking, a bad pressure regulator, stuck return line ,a coolant temp sensor could be telling the ECU that the engines cold give her more gas. I don't recommend doing fuel service unless your qualified to do so for the obvious reasons.
If the smoke coming out of the tail is grayish you have a bad head gasket. If the smoke coming out of the tail is blue you have engine oil getting into the combustion chamber. keep me posted

Cold start gives extended crank but starts colder temp longer crank fuel presure 53 psi ,temp sensors agree,4l engine no fault code

Have the battery load-checked at Autozone or similar business. Make sure to run 10w-30, or 5w-20 oil in the engine depending on start temperatures for minimal loading on the starter. Unless the engine has a lot of miles, you should not be needing any tune-up procedures yet. You could have a cold-start fuel-enrichment problem that is not sufficiently problematic to be registered by the engine computer.
