First make sure you have anti-freeze in it and there is no air bubbles in the system and if you are talking about the blower motor make sure all of wires are good and the temp limited switch next to the blower motor is good give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your truck wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

did you have it pro replaced? If so, you should take it back to them. How long is your warranty? If you personally replaced, you need to check the service manual. Here is the owner manual

How do change Heater core in a 1999 gmc sonoma

By removing most of the dashboard. its behind the glove box buried under all of the stuff you see there and then some.
It is possible, but not easy and takes time, but its worth it because a shop will charge you over 500 and the part is around 100.
If you get into it and get stuck, post another question.

Get a female garden hose adapter from the local hardware store. Disconnect the heater hose from behind the fan pulley and attach the hose connection. Disconnect the other heater hose behind the alternator, aim it towards the ground and flush water through the heater core. This worked on my truck.

1994 GMC Sonoma Heater Problem

Sounds like either your motor or blower resistor is going bad.Gm blower motors tend to go bad from what i have seen.My chevy pickup is on its 3rd motor. There is also a hose that is connected to it that when the air blows it directs some to the motor to keep it cool. You can check that but it is probably your motor
